We prove that for every strongly inaccessible cardinal lambda, any basis for the class of special lambda^+-Aronszajn lines must have size at least lambda.

Abstract
We prove that for every strongly inaccessible cardinal lambda, any basis for the class of special lambda^+-Aronszajn lines must have size at least lambda.
