Rings of representations and supersymmetric functions.
Speaker: Dr. Shifi Reif (Bar Ilan University)
Place: Math building (216), room 201
Abstract: Finite dimensional representations often define a ring where the multiplication is given by tensor product. When the representations are over a simple Lie algebra, this ring is isomorphic to the ring of symmetric Laurent polynomials.
We shall discuss this phenomena and see what is the natural generalization when supersymmetry is involved.
